He has produced over 10 songs for Tetu Shani, worked with Wanja Wohoro, Wendy Kemunto, Eric Wainaina, Atemi, Bensoul, Emma Cheruto, TheOnlyRosa, Chemutai Sage and Xenia Manasseh on different projects.
In March 2018, he released a 5 track EP with Ciano Maimba titled SERVE CHILLED. In the same year, he got his first Cafe Ngoma nomination for Best Producer of the year. Since then he has produced 4 different EPs with a myriad of artists such as Loa Myst (PRESSURE, 2020), Tetu Shani (JBWFDMWB, 2020), Gabbie & Timothy Arinaitwe (EMPTY SPACES, 2020) & rappers/poets/actors Sens_ei & Elsaphan Njora (IN THREES, 2019).
In 2017, M³ began working at Rainmaker Limited, shadowing Eric Wainaina, producing and composing music & helping out in the studio. In 2019, he was one of the event organisers for the renowned live performance event in Nairobi, ‘Live At The Elephant’.
In 2019, he got a chance to score his first film with Eric Wainaina and Rushab Nandha, LUSALA, by Mugambi Nthiga which premiered at NBO Film Festival. Later that year he was worked on the music/sound for, Too Early For Birds – Tom Mboya Edition, a theatre production. He is currently writing a musical with TEFB under the NBO Musical Theatre Initiative.
Mbogua also is one of the organizers of the Nairobi Ableton User Group, a monthly workshop meet up of like minded producers, beat makers, engineers sharing knowledge on the digital audio workstation, Live by Ableton. Early 2023, NAUG released the first vinyl project titled INSHA consisting of different producers from Nairobi.
M³ is currently working on new music with artists under Rain Records such as Television releasing their album in 2023.
