Ricky na Marafiki band is one of Africa’s musical gems that hails from Nairobi Kenya, the band began their musical journey in the year 2010. It was a four-piece band made up of friends who enjoyed making music together. The band has grown to a six-member band
Nairobi is a cosmopolitan city has played a very big part in their clear cut well defined Benga (Kenya polyrhythm music ), afro fusion and afro soul music with smashes of highlife, soukous, makosa, and traditional Kenyan sounds make Ricky na Marafiki band a band to listen to always.
Their arrangements are almost symphonic, hypnotizing with the unexpected colours of voices and instruments. Music for them is not a casual undertaking and that they understand that very well by making sure in their show you dance, laugh, cry, and understand yourselves and each other. Their open-ended music is designed to remind us that we live in an enormous universe filled with wonders and connected with music, they take you to both the village and urban cities Musically and They make sure No rhythm or song resounds itself twice and left yearning for more

monthly with different themes every month where they have attracted a large following in Nairobi Their debut album, Tucheze was released in 2011 and their second album SO SIMPLE in 2015 and the third one SOUL FOOD featuring the late Biba Bouch 2016their third album Soko huru in 2019
