Andereya Baguma is an Afro-fusion/alternative singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Uganda. Andereya’s musical dreams led him from playing the guitar in the slums of Kamwokya to receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Makerere University. Today, he is an in-demand performer, as well as the founder of ‘Nze Music’ – an A&R, booking and management firm with a mission of promoting authentic and unique African music.The former Penda Uganda Song Contest winner released his debut solo album entitled ‘Andereya’ at the prestigious Uganda National Cultural Centre. He has since performed on both local and international platforms such as Sofar Sounds, Pearl Rhythm Festival, Kigampala Festival, Jamafest, Kenya Music Festival and Ethno Music in Malawi. His recent release is the six track Ep dubbed Conversation, on which he collaborated with American a singer-songwriter to potray the need for cultural exchange all over the globe through music.Andereya has also performed with popular Ugandan bands such as Msetonation Band, Baximba Waves Jazz Band, and Akadope, among others. He is the founder and host of Endongo Munsiko, a music festival with an emphasis on nature, regional music within Uganda, and tourism. He also hosts the brand new Embozzi Z’ekyoto, a concert series focused on storytelling through spoken word and music around a bonfire. His music has been featured on radio and television, most notably “Good Morning Uganda,” “Sanyu” TV series, and in collaboration with Nkoza and Nankya Films.
