KAGWA is a singer/ songwriter and performing artist. She studied music at the Kenyatta University. There, she came in touch with many cultures that give rise to rich genres of music. This influenced her type of music. Her style can be described as a Neo-soul instrumental sound, layered with contemporary African lyrics and themes. She also infuses her music with jazz and indie styles.
